Hermann Park sits among Houston's Museum District, Texas Medical Center, and nearby neighborhoods. METRORail serves this part of the city. In a hypothetical injury around a station, park path, street crossing, or visitor facility, the exact location and operator matter. Record the point, direction of travel, people involved, photographs, witnesses, and report numbers. Naming these places does not imply they caused a real injury.
The Houston firm cards below are live directory listings, not a ranking. Ask each firm how it would investigate your specific incident and who would handle the case. The consultation guide helps prepare a concise timeline and records.
For a hypothetical pedestrian or vehicle collision near the Museum District, record the street or platform, direction, signals, vehicle and route details, witnesses, and photos. A private driver's actions differ from a station condition or transit-vehicle event. Ask when a firm would seek video, operator reports, or vehicle records. For a delivery truck or commercial van elsewhere in Houston, keep company markings and dispatch clues, but ask how employment and vehicle control would be verified. The car crash records checklist helps organize the first account.
William P. Hobby Airport publishes taxi and ride-app pickup information. If a hypothetical collision happens during pickup, save the app booking or taxi receipt, exact curb zone, vehicle and driver information, witnesses, and report. Do not assume the airport, app, or driver is responsible from the pickup location alone.
Ask which lawyer would lead, what similar vehicle, property, or school incidents the lawyer has handled, what records would be preserved first, and how often you would receive updates. Ask about written fees and expenses, including what happens without a recovery. Use the comparison worksheet to record answers. If a city, school district, or transit operator may be involved, mention that early so any public-entity procedure can be assessed.
Listings are provided by the live directory. Their order is not a ranking or recommendation. Confirm services and credentials directly with each firm.

For a hypothetical fall on a Hermann Park path, identify the precise path segment, surface condition, signs, lighting, weather, and witnesses. The park contains multiple attractions and borders other institutions; do not assume one operator controlled every nearby area. Ask a lawyer how it would identify ownership, maintenance, inspection, and notice for the exact point. A public place injury is not automatically a viable city claim.
For a fall at a store, hotel, restaurant, garage, salon, or gym, keep any receipt or booking, report the condition, and photograph the exact space if safe. A tenant, property manager, and contractor can have different roles. Being injured on premises does not prove negligence. Ask what evidence could show when a condition arose and who had responsibility for it.
After a hypothetical dog bite on a Houston sidewalk or park path, identify the dog, owner or handler, witnesses, and events immediately beforehand. Keep treatment and animal-control records. A Texas appellate opinion discusses knowledge of a dog's propensities and negligent handling as different issues; Texas bites should not be described by one automatic-liability slogan. Ask which theory fits the facts and what evidence could show prior knowledge or handling. A park operator is not responsible merely because the dog was nearby.
Houston Independent School District operates public schools. If a student is hurt during class, sports, transport, or recess, preserve school communications, incident reports, witness names, supervision and equipment facts, and medical records. Injury at school does not establish negligence. Ask whether a public district, private school, outside sports group, or transport contractor controlled the activity, and how a firm would protect a child's records.
Texas Civil Practice and Remedies Code § 16.003 generally sets two years for a personal-injury suit after accrual, with exceptions and other rules. For a covered governmental claim, § 101.101 generally requires notice within six months, recognizes potentially shorter city requirements, and includes actual-notice provisions. The Texas Tort Claims Act also limits the claims allowed. Ask promptly whether a public unit is involved and which notice rule applies; a public-looking place alone does not establish a governmental claim.
In covered actions, § 33.001 bars recovery if the claimant's share of responsibility exceeds 50 percent. Preserve photos, witness accounts, reports, and vehicle data leads when conduct is disputed. A directory cannot estimate a person's fault percentage or deadline.
Before signing, ask for the assigned lawyer, update plan, and written fee and expense terms. The contingency-fee guide helps compare agreements.
Does a collision near METRORail automatically involve the transit agency? No. Record the exact roadway, platform, vehicle, and conduct. A private driver or adjacent business may be involved instead.
What if a dog bites someone at Hermann Park? Identify the dog and handler, witnesses, place, and treatment. Texas theories depend on facts; a park's proximity does not decide the owner's or city's role.
Is the city responsible for every park-path injury? No. Exact location, condition, control, notice, and public-entity rules need investigation.
What should I keep after a public-school incident? Preserve reports, communications, witnesses, supervision and equipment details, and medical records. Ask about entity and procedure.
Is every injury suit due within two years? No. The general period has exceptions, and a covered government claim may require earlier notice.
Can a lawyer outside Houston help? Possibly. Confirm Texas licensing, relevant experience, Houston-area investigation, and where the matter would be handled.
How can shared fault affect a case? Section 33.001 can bar recovery above the statutory threshold in covered actions. A lawyer must evaluate evidence and scope.
What should I compare between firms? Assigned lawyer, initial investigation, communication, written fees and expenses, and terms if the case fails.

Our mission is to make public information about personal injury law firms easier to find, understand, and verify. We organize factual directory records, practical legal education, and links to official sources so people can begin their research with greater clarity.
Our philosophy is accuracy before promotion, clarity before complexity, and corrections whenever reliable evidence shows that a listing has changed. Directory inclusion is informational and is never presented as a legal recommendation.
