An Oregon injury can involve a Portland airport trip, a Eugene shared-use trail, or a Bend riverfront visit. Those settings require different records and different questions about who controlled the place or vehicle. The statewide firm listings below are live directory results, not a ranking. Before calling, write the exact location and time, save original photos and messages, identify witnesses, and gather reports and treatment records. A good consultation begins with what can be verified, not an estimate of fault.
The Portland International Airport describes app-based ride pickup in its Transportation Plaza. In a hypothetical collision during an airport trip, keep the booking, vehicle and driver details, pickup area, photos, witnesses, and report number. Ask whether a private driver, another road user, or a facility condition is implicated. The airport's name alone does not answer that question, and this example does not allege an actual incident there.
In Portland, Governor Tom McCall Waterfront Park has paved paths, a biking trail, and event spaces. In Eugene, Alton Baker Park has shared-use paths and multiple facilities. In Bend, Drake Park adjoins the Deschutes River Trail. A hypothetical injury at any of these places needs a precise path segment, activity, condition, and operator. These named places are examples, not allegations of unsafe premises.
For a car, truck, delivery-vehicle, bicycle, or pedestrian collision, record the road and travel direction, people and vehicles, company identifiers, photos, witnesses, and report number. Ask when a firm would preserve camera, dispatch, or maintenance records. The car crash records checklist helps organize the information. For a store, hotel, restaurant, garage, salon, or gym injury, identify the exact area, report the condition, and keep any receipt or booking. An injury at a business does not establish negligence.
Ask which lawyer will handle the matter, whether that person has worked on similar incidents, what evidence would be sought first, and how the firm communicates. If a city, school district, park district, or another public body may be involved, say so promptly. Request written fee and expense terms, including what happens without a recovery. Use the comparison worksheet to compare actual answers.
Listings are provided by the live directory. Their order is not a ranking or recommendation. Confirm services and credentials directly with each firm.

After a hypothetical dog bite in a neighborhood, park, or business area, identify the dog and keeper, witnesses, exact place, and events immediately beforehand. Keep treatment and animal-control records. ORS 609.115 provides strict liability for certain economic damages when a dog previously determined by a court to be potentially dangerous causes injury afterward, subject to the statute's terms. That is a specific rule, not a statement that every dog bite automatically fits it. Ask a lawyer whether this or another legal theory applies, and what proof exists about the dog and keeper. A public park's proximity does not automatically make the park operator responsible for the animal.
For a hypothetical fall on a trail, sidewalk, playground, library floor, or public building stair, photograph the exact condition and nearby signs if safe. Record witnesses, lighting, weather, and any report. A city path can meet a separately managed event area or private entrance. Ask who maintained the precise point, what inspection or repair records exist, and what evidence shows notice. Public ownership does not alone establish negligence.
At a public or private school, preserve the school's report, communications, supervision and equipment facts, witnesses, activity organizer, and medical records. Injury during class, recess, transport, or sports is not proof of wrongdoing. The Oregon Department of Education's directory identifies distinct public schools and districts. Ask whether the entity is a district, private school, outside athletics group, or transport provider, and how a firm would seek records while protecting the student's privacy. A public district may change the claim procedure.
ORS 12.110 generally requires many personal-injury actions to start within two years, with exceptions and other rules for specific claims. Under ORS 31.600, claimant fault in a covered action does not bar recovery if it is not greater than the combined fault of the persons specified by the statute, but damages are reduced proportionately. Preserve evidence rather than assigning a percentage yourself.
For a claim within the Oregon Tort Claims Act, ORS 30.275 generally requires notice within 180 days for claims other than wrongful death, and sets separate timing for wrongful death and details about formal or actual notice. A lawyer must identify the right public body and the exact procedural route. Do not rely on the general two-year filing period alone if a public entity may be involved.
Before signing, compare how a fee is calculated, how expenses are deducted, who advances costs, and what happens if the case is unsuccessful. The contingency-fee guide offers prompts.
Does a collision during an airport pickup automatically involve the port? No. Record the exact vehicle, driver, place, trip, and cause. The operator of each relevant activity must be identified.
What if a dog bites someone in a city park? Preserve owner or keeper details, witnesses, treatment, and animal-control records. ORS 609.115 is limited to specified prior determinations and economic damages; other theories need review.
Does an injury at a park prove a public-body claim? No. The condition, activity, exact location, operator, and applicable law all matter. The park name is only a starting point.
Can a school sports injury involve a public claim? Possibly. Record who organized and supervised the activity, then ask whether a district or another entity is involved and what procedure applies.
Is every injury action due within two years? No. ORS 12.110 is a general rule with exceptions; a public-body claim may also require earlier notice.
Does shared fault always end a claim? No. ORS 31.600 provides a comparative-fault rule for covered actions. The facts and statutory scope need individual assessment.
Can a Portland lawyer help with a Bend incident? Possibly. Confirm Oregon licensing, relevant experience, local investigation, and where a case would be handled.
What should I compare between firms? The assigned lawyer, first evidence steps, update plan, written fees and expenses, and outcome if the case fails.

Our mission is to make public information about personal injury law firms easier to find, understand, and verify. We organize factual directory records, practical legal education, and links to official sources so people can begin their research with greater clarity.
Our philosophy is accuracy before promotion, clarity before complexity, and corrections whenever reliable evidence shows that a listing has changed. Directory inclusion is informational and is never presented as a legal recommendation.
